Tec4 and 2/3* parts I created

Post by frankjoke » Tue Nov 07, 2017 11:52 pm

Hi All!
I got my Tec4 Dual-head yesterday and had to equip it with some of my loved tool mounts.

I liked the Tec4 spool holder and based on it some other tools.

You can find them on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2632168

I control the printer via Octoprint and bought a RaspiZeroW kit: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B072LWBL37 for housing of the PiZ-W and the cam.
I had already the camera module and used OctoPi to put OS/OctoPrnt on the Raspi-Z-W.

p.s.: I printed everything in PetG which does not break easily but ABS and PLA should work as well.

Looks very good :) cool to see these kind of developments. Are you satisfied with octoPi? Have you also tried repetier-server on a raspberry Pi? Definately worth a try. Only thing missing so far is on board slicing. Not sure if octopi has that already.

I don't use onboard slicing (use simplify3d) but there is an option for Cura slicing with Octopi.

Cool parts! I'm looking into the camera "arm" specifically; I want to use my Raspberry Pi's camera module too!

I too use Octoprint. Slicing in Slic3r and it can send the gcode directly to Octoprint. Very convenient.
Felix 3.1 single extruder, soon to be Tec 4 dual
