E3D konversion set - TWO version

Post by Tygrik » Mon Jan 20, 2014 11:37 am

Hello,

I am currently working on components that allow you to use E3D HotEnd at the same time not to abandon the advantages of direct drive solutions Felix original. It is also possible to use E3D HotEnd designed for Bowden drive.

I attach a few photos yet. After testing, add a link to the download.

- new components is : extruder base, clamp, extension for cooler filament

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

two version (Both versions are tested):

MK I: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:235409 (use original E3D fan - easier assembly)

MK II: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:298657 (use Felix 40mm fan - greater height for printing, quiet, compact, easier insertion filament)

26.5.2014 - added new filament tensioner parts. 0,2mm higher - eliminates the potential squeaking sound

Well done. Success to you in your endeavor. Not less important development, as Satoer.

LOL. Thinking out of the box :) You loose some print height but gain flexibility. Nice implementation.

Heureka - first test print is done !! (extension for filament coller) (Z axis I must change for linear bearing)

print on 200°C / 1h and AL heatsink is absolut cold.

Only one negative - Im test HotEnd on 300°C and switch LED console ON, but LED is blinking, and when temp HotEnd rise to 280°C, board is go down. E3D HotEnd cartridge id maby more powerfull then original Felix, and PowerSource is not enough powerful for this warm cartridge. Time for warm HotEnd from 22°C to 200°C is 1minutes with this cartridge.

update (28.1.2014):
three hours of printing and everything works fine

You need to change

#define HEATER_0_MAXTEMP 275
#define HEATER_1_MAXTEMP 275
#define HEATER_2_MAXTEMP 275
#define BED_MAXTEMP 150

in firmware
