Splitting the Accessories STL to print single objects (Done!

Hello everyone,
new here and to the world of 3D printing. :?
Finished assembling my 3.0 last December and now I'm gathering some experience, thanks to this forum too!

Assembly was very straightforward, excellent instructions !
I printed the single items in the "accessoires/F3_0/separate" parts so that if I had some problems I would't be throwing all in the bin.
All was fine but I haven't found the filament cleaning item.
So I tried to separate it from the complete STL file with no success.
Is this possible?

Cheers,

j.

Try this free CAD program:
http://www.123dapp.com/design
import, and export the item you want to be printed.

THX satoer,
I see how to import the .stl file and how to re export but can't find the way to separate the 4 objects in the original file so I can export just the one I want.
Can you help?

Hi, draw a box around the object and use the intersect boolean operation. See this tutorial:

Or you can try the free version of netfabb: http://www.netfabb.com/ (is also usefull to fix corrupt models)
And look at this tutorial:

There's a built-in feature to do that in Repetier Host.
