It would be better if a new thread is started by each one, that way it will be more easy to help you, by having a log of what your issue is and what has been tested, in its own a specific thread

Hi Guillaume,

I finally downloaded the latest software to check out the preset profiles you included. Could you elaborate on the exact differences between the profiles and the tradeoffs involved?
Also, I'm officially impressed by the "minimum layer height" setting, take that Makerbot! :)

The SFACT part of the software works fine in Linux btw, in case anybody was wondering. So does pronterface for controlling the printer (comes with ubuntu).

Cheers
Felix

I've today tuned the firmware to combat occasionally slow-down glitches. By upping MAX_CMD_SIZE in the advanced config to 256 bytes, I seem to be able to get much better results, than with the default value of 96.

Anyone else tuned MAX_CMD_SIZE and BUFSIZE? What values do you have them at? I still seem to get unreasonably slow printing with small, detailed arcs, anyone got a remedy for that?

Hi everybody, we are trying to set up our new felix - total newbies, by the way. it turns out, that when we plug it in, nothing happens, but the other problem is that the slicer cannot find the composition.gcode.

- says generated G-code not found -

i searched all the directories, everything i have downloaded for it and it's not there. now, how could i fix this?

Hi Gobi,

Have you installed arduino?
Do you use Windows, do you hear any sounds when you plug the USB in?

you cant really install arduino, just click on the exe and there you go. i plugged it in, there was the sound, uploaded the firmware, installed the driver, installed the repetier host and this is where i am now...

If you installed the firmware the connection should be good.

The sound, was it like you plug in a mouse (good connection sound) or was it another sound (bad connection sound).
If it was the good connection sound:
Unplug the Felix
Start device control: Control Panel => System and security => (system) Device control
Scroll down to: Ports COM & LPT) and open it.
Watch closely to the amount of items there.
Plug in the Felix.
Is there an extra comport coming up?
Remember that new comport
Open up repetier host
Open the printer settings from the menu.
Have you selected the same new comport in the connection tab?
