missing preheat adjusting since V3 update

Post by bruno-16OOO » Sat Feb 28, 2015 7:58 pm

hello,

I have update my V2 felix to dual V3 and I update the firmware too.
I'm happy with the result but I can't find where to adjust the temp. settings for bed and extruder of the preheat ABS and PLA .
In the precedent firware it was an easy adjust in the menu, but i can't find it anymore .

Did you look Repetier-Host, Menu "Printer" > "EEPROM Settings" ?

Hi Bruno,

You can edit the default preheat values for the bed and extruder directly in the firmware Configuration.h file.

Either directly open the Configuration.h file with Notepad/Wordpad, or alternatively by opening the Repetier.Ino file using Arduino (and editing the Configuration.h file in the sketch).

Edit and save changes and then upload the complete firmware sketch to the printer.

Cheers,

Hi Bruno,

Chapter four in the latest Felix User Manual (download section) covers the firmware upload process very well. This is a a good place to start if you haven't been there already.

Unlike some firmware upgrades this process on the Felix can go up or down previous versions, so its very user friendly. Just remember to edit the EEPROM mode number to a different number (greater than 1), if you want to reload firmware. I normally increase the previous value plus 1.

I would also advise to make a copy of your current firmware, and rename your latest modified version in some sort of chronological order (just the top folder name).

This way you can always revert back to the previous copy if changes are not suitable.

Cheers,

Marc
